Overdue Update

Hey everyone. Sorry it’s been so long, we know you missed us! Paul has been working on the Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts which has taken up all the free time he has. In addition, every Saturday we have been going out to Joshua Tree to demo the stucco and unnecessary framing. We are ready to give you an update!

The best news we have to share is that we now have all the permits required to start construction! Even though it was a bit of a struggle to get to this point we now have a better understanding of what the county requires compared to the cities we normally work in. This was a huge victory and big leap in the right direction.

While the country was reviewing plans, we worked on demo. The largest task we faced was taking the stucco off. It was no joke but we saved $$$ and time. Now the contractor can immediately set up the site and get to work turning this skeleton of a house into a dreamy desert cabin.

When the demo was all said and done, Becky remarked that our home was “so cute”. Of course to most people this is not the picture of cute, but to us it is! The transformation it’s gone through just from demo is pretty outstanding! We are eager to start the next steps and now that we have a little extra free time we will make sure to keep everyone updated and show you some design ideas we have for the house.

We have a busy road ahead so make sure to subscribe, invite your friends to subscribe and cheer us on. You never know there may be a giveaway in the future for all of our followers!
