How many of you eat dinner in the living room in front of the TV!? We hope not too many of you raised your hands but we know it's common thing, especially in the U.S. We eat at our dining table 99.9% of the time. It is our way to relax after a hard day of work and talk about everything going on. We wanted to share with you some dining rooms that we love!

Every now and then you will find us sitting in the dining room for hours! Sounds crazy right!? Our home isn't very big so it's where we do computer work, projects, look at magazines and anything else you can think of. As we write this, we're thinking about how the next time we have dining chairs made we're going to pay extra close attention to the long term comfort factor.

The dining room above has the seamless blend of modern and traditional that we love. The herringbone floors are STUNNING and the perfect backdrop to the contemporary furniture. Paul designed the bar cart based off an antique and had it made by his local iron worker. Glass of scotch anyone??

This isn't actually a dining room, but more of a breakfast nook. Paul says we need some chairs like these for our house. They are comfortable (number 1 requirement!) and easy to move around. The light fixture is from Visual Comfort. Their product offerings are versatile and vast and they're a great designer resource.

If you know anything about us you know that we love Spanish/Mediterranean homes. Something about the troweled plaster, wood floors and large windows make the space cozy and just like home. If we have a dining room like this we may have to up our cooking game, macaroni and cheese may not cut it.

What's the perfect dining room for you? Does the TV have to be within eye shot? Let us know below.
