Art on the Brain

Hey readers! Most of you don't know, Paul started college with the idea that he was going for Pre-Med Biology with a minor in Spanish, he would then move to Florida and be a pediatrician for little Hispanic children. That's right, crazy huh!?!? He quickly changed his mind after one semester of school.

Having been surrounded by art and design his whole life it didn't seem like too big of a departure. His mom was graphic designer and he took every art class he could in high school. Since Paul started college at a school that didn't have Interior Design he decided to start with getting a Fine Arts degree with an emphasis on painting.

Paul has never been one to show off his art. Of course there are many pieces in our house as well as his parents, but it's pretty low-key besides that. Before starting design school he had a couple gallery exhibits at his first college and all of the paintings he created were at his parent's house under his old bed.

On Paul's recent Hollywood Hills project they needed art to stage the home and Paul offered to hang some of the pieces he made in college as well as make a few new pieces. His parents were kind enough to send the paintings Paul needed! The response from family, friends and clients of the art hanging at the open house was positive so we thought we would share with you a few of our favorites. Paul's style is more contemporary so we know it will not be for everyone's taste, but that is perfectly fine. Art is subjective and very personal to everyone!
