Master Bedrooms Done Right!

March 28, 2017

Alright, be honest... How many of you have a master bedroom? Cool, we image most of you do. Now let's try this again... How many of you have a nicely designed master bedroom and how many of you have an unorganized dumping ground with a mattress somewhere in the room and call it a master?! We know, we've been in a lot of houses and WE. JUST. KNOW.

What is that about!? GAH! Company comes over and all of a sudden the entire house gets crammed into one bedroom, and that bedroom just so happens to be the master?! No, just no!

Why is it that the last project is always the Master Bedroom? Hear us out. You go to work everyday, take care of the family, handle the bills, make sure the kids are fed, make sure the pets are happy and when your day is finally over and you have a few spare moments to yourself, you're stranded among piles and boxes full of stuff that "you'll find a place for someday." We don't love that and neither should you!

You're master bedroom should be yours and only yours. It should be a place of rest and refuge. It should reflect your style and include the things that you love most. You shouldn't share it with clutter and chaos! For us personally, we like our bedroom to have art and artifacts from our travels. We have personal and meaningful photos hanging on the walls and standing prominently on our nightstands. We've painted the walls a dark color to add a bit of drama and we make sure that the linens and quilts are as soft as can be!

Now, we're not perfect and if you looked under our bed you might find that it looks a little but like a storage closet but we're human! The goal is to not have it overwhelm your space and definitely hide it if you can! Out of sight, out of mind!

Let us know if you are ready to make over your master bedroom and achieve the ultimate feeling of relaxation!
